An incredibly good week, a Shipibo family, and teaching with the Spirit.

Glynis here: I'm so sorry I didn't post a letter from Jacob last week. We never got one from him. We waited and waited to hear from Jacob, and finally he was able to send a message saying he was sorry about not writing a letter, but he wanted us to know he is fine. His district had an activity together that took up all of the P-day morning. Anyway, things are back to normal, and we got a lovely letter this week. Enjoy!

Buenos dias.

This week Elder Veach and I were on fire!

I think I talked about it a little last week, but on Monday we had a visit with another Shipibo family in Km 13: la familia Hidalgo Acho. They are a family of 6, who we contacted last Saturday. We visited them on Monday and they were so nice! They invited us to come by anytime we want, so we visited them every other day this week. They are progressing really fast and have excellent questions every lesson we have with them. They asked us to wait for them on the street corner so they could find the chapel so they could go to church with us. On Sunday we were out waiting for them and we were disappointed when they didn't meet us on the corner, so we just went to church. Once we got inside the chapel, we saw them all sitting in the back!! I was ecstatic, seriously, so happy. We sat by them, introduced them to some members, and gave them a hymn book. I think they are a chosen family!

This week we also technically have 2 baptismal dates, but it's a little complicated. Remember Franco and Monica? We found out that he might be cheating on her (she told us), so we wanted to go into a lesson to sort of burn him with love, and talk about repentance. We were going to read Alma 5 with them. But once we got into the lesson, we decided to read Alma 36 with them instead, which, for those of you who don't know, is the conversion of Alma. The Spirit was really strong in the lesson and we explained to them that the remission of sins comes with baptism. We invited them to be baptized on March 7th, and they accepted! We talked about repentance and marriage too, so now we are working on that. They didn't come to church because they didn't have enough transport money, but hopefully they will come next week.

Anyway, how are you guys doing? I'd love to hear from some of you, sientanse libres de escribirme (feel free to write to me)

Los Amo bastante! (I love you a lot)

-Elder Neves

Glynis again: No pictures again this week. He did promise to send some in his next letter. However, he did send a video of himself playing the piano. His companion has been teaching him, and he is pretty proud of himself. enjoy!
