Last of the wedding plans, coconut picking, soccer and mountain climbing!

Glynis here: Jacob's letter this week was kind of short. I am grateful to get anything from him, as letter writing has never been his favorite thing to do! We were excited to hear the new rules about communicating with our Elder this week, but we still have to work out the logistics with Jacob. Reliable internet is hard to find where he is, so we will just keep our fingers crossed and know that he is happy and working hard!
Hello everyone!
How are you all? I hope all is well with you guys back home. This week was pretty good, but I don't have much time today, so this will be quick. Here we go!
This week we worked really hard to finish up all the things we needed to do for the wedding of the Lloja Ramirez family. We got all the papers ready, and then had to travel a little distance to a small village called Jerillo. That is where they are going to get married (because it's cheaper there).
We spent the morning there, contacting as well as wedding planning, and we found a few members. One of the members just happened to have a coconut tree. And there was fruit on a low hanging branch. We asked if they would mind if we took a few coconuts and she said, "Go for it!" We took 5 and stuffed them into our bags. When we got home we drank the milk. I'm not going to lie; I'm NOT a fan! I guess there are a few different kinds of coconuts, but generally the coconut milk here is salty.
Anyway, the Ramirez family are going to get married this Friday morning at 8:00 a.m. That's super exciting! On Saturday, we will hold their baptism, so that will be an awesome weekend!
In other news, the whole city of Moyo went crazy nuts this week because there were two big soccer teams that were playing this weekend. Supposedly, it's like the BYU and U of U rivalry but on a much larger scale. Everyone in town was literally INSANE! But it was cool to see.
Not much more to say about this week. Today we are going on a hike. We are hiking a mountain called El Murro de Calzada, this afternoon, and that should be pretty cool!
Anyway, I love you guys, and I'll talk to you all next week!!
Love,
Elder Neves
