Inspiration from the mission president, a testimony building experience, and perhaps a new area, finally!

Glynis here: This week's letter was not as long as I would have liked, however I can't complain. At least I got a letter! It looks like Jacob will be experiencing a change in mission presidents soon. I asked how he felt about it, and he said that he's a little nervous. His current mission president won't let the missionaries eat a lot of the odd food that is served there (bugs), but this new mission president might not put that restriction on them. Guess he'll just have to pray that none of the members/investigators offer him coconut worms or anything else weird!

Hey everyone! How are you all doing? This week really went flying by, but I do have a few highlights for you.

We got a call from our mission president saying that we have to change our pensionista (this is the lady that feeds us 3 times a day). We were pretty sad about that, because she's been feeding the missionaries for years here in this area. The President Li didn't give us a reason. He just told us that he felt that we had to do it. So we went to her house, and when we told her she was in tears! We told her not to worry about it and that we'd still be stopping by to say hello, and maybe get some snacks!

Then we had the task of finding a new pensionista. We felt like we should ask this lady named Lili. She is one of the Sunday School teachers in our ward. We went and knocked on her door, and the moment she opened up, she started bawling. It turns our that right before we came, she had gotten into a massive fight with her family, and she had been praying that God would send someone to help her family out of a messy situation. Right then, we knocked on the door and after talking for a while, we asked her if she could be our pensionista, basically committing her to give us 3 meals a day for who knows how long, possibly for years. She said it was an answer to her prayers. To have the missionaries in her home all the time will strengthen her family. She accepted. Based on that experience, my testimony of God has grown so much. I know a little more of how He works and I can see that He is really in control of all things. So, that was an awesome experience.

Not many more cool things happened this week. We have some great families that are progressing well. We invited them all to be baptized, and they said they'll do it when God answers them. Now we just have to teach them how to recognize an answer.

I'm having a fun time here, really. This last P-day we went to Quistococha (a local "zoo"), and that was a blast! I'll include some pictures here.

Have a great week!!
