Working in a trio, teaching a lesson, and no pictures for mom this week

No pictures this week, so enjoy his latest purchase made of grass.

Glynis here: No face to face communication with Jacob again this week. Still, we know he is healthy and happy. I'm so grateful for technology that allows him to communicate with us in a more immediate fashion. Waiting for a letter would really tax my limited patience! The letter this week is short, but his testimony shines through.

Hey Everybody,

Another week come and gone. The time is honestly going by so so fast; sometimes it's hard to believe. It feels like a few days ago I was writing to all of you. It's crazy how time flies when you are busy.

This week, President Parker was in Tarapoto (another city in the mission) with the assistants, so here in the office we've been working in a trio. Elder Argyle and I and Elder Moldis. He´s from Brazil but he speaks English really well. We have been working in both of our areas and doing a lot of contacting, so it's twice the work for us, but it's been good. We had a lot of lessons with good investigators.

Elder Moldis has an investigator named Jean Pierre, who has been praying but has said he hasn't received an answer. He explained that he is scared of what the answer might mean. We decided to read 3 Nephi 11 with him, and as we read of the Savior's visit to the Nephites, the Spirit filled the room. We told him he shouldn't be scared of the answer, but that he should be excited to know the truth, and realize that his answer means that he knows what to do. He told us he wants to get baptized so we gave him a baptismal date for the 28th of September. It was such a good lesson.

Anyway, I am doing well. I sure do miss you guys, but being a missionary is so awesome!

Love you!

-Elder Neves
