Investigators who don't come to church, service with machetes, and looking forward to Christmas.

Glynis here: Merry Christmas, everyone! We are looking forward to talking to Jacob on this special day! He is finding that being out in the field is much harder than working in the city. Still, he loves his area, he loves his companion, and he loves the people of Peru.
Hey guys,
There was a lot that happened this week. We taught that family we found in the rain I talked about last week. They are so awesome! After the lesson they gave us some dinner and it was pouring rain. They were concerned about us walking home, and invited us to just stay there the night... don't worry, we didn't, but all I'm saying is that if Elder Veach and I were missionaries back when the church was being restored, we would just baptize these guys and live with them until we baptize the whole village! No, just kidding; but they are really cool. They are la familia Cubas and they sounded super excited to go to church.
Speaking of Church... no one came this week. We were pretty sad because so many people told us they were going to come, but they just couldn't for some reason. We know that it's a long way to get to the church, and that's always a little frustrating, but hey, there's always next week.
Elder Veach and I went out to our area to do some service this week. We did the classic service, cutting down some grass with machetes. I love Peru. Mom wouldn't let me have a machete at home! I was able to take some pictures of our area while we were out there so I'll include those here.
I am super excited for Christmas. It is going to be awesome! We are having Christmas dinner at a members house! I can't believe it's already my second Christmas in Peru.
Well, there's not much left to say. I hope you all had a great week, and are enjoying the snow up there in Utah!
Love you guys,
-Elder Neves
